Out of 10,746 examinees who sat on 24 to 26 October in 18 testing centers, 3,988 passed, for a national passing rate of 37.11%. PRC also reported that the results of three examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules governing licensure examinations.
National Passing Rate
| Exam Period | Passers | Total Examinees | Passing Rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| October 2026 | 3,988 | 10,746 | 37.11% |
| May 2026 | 3,004 | 9,745 | 30.83% |
| October 2025 | 3,460 | 10,171 | 34.02% |
| May 2025 | 3,156 | 9,533 | 33.11% |
| December 2024 | 3,058 | 10,136 | 30.17% |
| May 2024 | 3,155 | 10,421 | 30.28% |
| September-October 2023 | 2,740 | 8,734 | 31.37% |
37.11% is the highest national rate of the seven cycles above, about 6.3 percentage points up on May 2026 and 3.09 points up on October 2025. The cohort was also the largest in the table: 10,746 examinees, against the previous high of 10,421 in May 2024 and 10,171 in October 2025. Both the number of examinees and the number of passers rose, so the higher rate did not come from a smaller field.
One cycle does not make a trend. The CPALE has spent most of the last few years in the 30 to 34% band, so treat October 2026 as a strong sitting rather than a new normal when you plan for May 2027.

Check topnotcher lists against PRC's own issuance. On results day, a screenshot of an earlier cycle's top 10 can circulate under a new cycle's headline. If a name or rating you see shared online does not match PRC's own issuance, trust PRC's. The table above is transcribed from it.
Top-Performing Schools
PRC lists top-performing schools as per Commission Resolution No. 1814, Series of 2024. For this exam, the list covers schools with 50 or more examinees and a passing rate of at least 80%. Three schools cleared both thresholds this cycle:
| Rank | School | Examinees | Passers | Passing Rate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Kingfisher School of Business and Finance | 55 | 55 | 100.00% |
| 2 | University of Santo Tomas | 180 | 160 | 88.89% |
| 3 | Pampanga State University (formerly Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University) | 103 | 83 | 80.58% |
Kingfisher passed every one of its 55 examinees and produced the top-ranked examinee. For how schools have performed across past cycles, see our top schools by CPALE passing rate.

How to Check Your Result
- Search our list. The October 2026 list of passers has all 3,988 names from PRC's Roll of Successful Examinees, arranged alphabetically by surname.
- Confirm with PRC. PRC's official roll is published on prc.gov.ph. Your individual rating is verified through PRC's online services at online.prc.gov.ph.
- Search more than one spelling if you cannot find yourself: a maiden or married surname, a hyphenated surname, a suffix such as Jr. or III, and letters such as Ñ.
Our CPALE results guide walks through checking your rating and what each status means.
Be wary of results-day offers. Ignore pages or private messages offering to "check your name first" or "fix your rating". PRC's list of passers is free and public, and your rating comes only from PRC.
If You Passed: What's Next
Congratulations on passing. Once you take your oath and register with PRC, you are a Certified Public Accountant.
- Registration. PRC says registration for the Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Registration will be done online starting 23 December 2026, through prc.gov.ph. Bring a screenshot of your system-generated registration form and a valid government-issued ID, and register and sign the Roster of Registered Professionals in person.
- Oath-taking. PRC will announce the date and venue of the oath-taking ceremony later. Watch PRC's official channels.
- Your first steps as a CPA. Our after-passing checklist and first 90 days as a new CPA cover what comes next.
If You Got Conditional Status
Conditional status means you scored 75% or higher in at least four of the six subjects without passing the whole exam. You keep credit for those subjects and must take the remaining subject or subjects within two years of this examination. Under RA 9298, Sec. 16, you then need a general average of at least 75%, with no rating below 65%, in the subjects you retake. Otherwise you are treated as having failed the entire examination.
If You Didn't Pass: Planning for May 2027
Not seeing your name is hard. It is also the most common CPALE outcome: even in this strong cycle, 6,758 of the 10,746 examinees are not on the list of passers, including three whose results were withheld.
- Take a real break first. A week or two away before you open a reviewer is part of the plan, not time lost.
- Diagnose before you restart. Once your subject ratings are available, put most of your hours where you scored lowest instead of re-reviewing everything.
- Change the method, not only the effort. If your first review was mostly lectures, shift toward timed practice. If it was mostly drills, fill the concept gaps.
- Get the May 2027 filing right. As of 3 November 2026, PRC has not published its 2027 exam schedule. Our May 2027 CPALE schedule and requirements guide tracks what is confirmed and what is still an estimate.
For a full plan, see our retaker guide and how to use the months before May 2027.
